Hi! I'm Mihnea, final year MSc student in Robotics, Systems, and Control at ETH Zürich. My focus is perception, specifically systems that are designed around what a robot actually needs to do. A robot's tasks should shape how it sees the world, not the other way around.
Currently, I'm doing my thesis on active perception: teaching robots to look around purposefully and be selective about what they "see" rather than processing everything. Beyond efficiency, the goal is adaptability, to let robots change their sensing strategies based on the context and task at hand.
